Thoughts Review is a quarterly international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to the publication and dissemination of high-quality scholarly research in the Arts and Humanities. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, scholars, and practitioners to critically examine human thought, culture, society, language, history, religion, philosophy, and related fields.

The journal aims to promote original research, critical inquiry, interdisciplinary dialogue, and scholarly exchange across diverse areas of the Arts and Humanities. It welcomes theoretically informed, empirically grounded, and methodologically rigorous contributions that advance knowledge and contribute meaningfully to contemporary academic discourse.

 

Thoughts Review is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, peer review, research ethics, editorial quality, and scholarly independence. The journal seeks to facilitate meaningful engagement among scholars from different intellectual and cultural contexts and to contribute to the international advancement of humanities scholarship.

Target Readership

The journal is intended for an international readership of researchers, academics, scholars, practitioners, and graduate students working across the Arts and Humanities. The journal aims to reach readers from diverse intellectual and cultural contexts who are interested in critical, interdisciplinary, and theoretically informed scholarship.

The journal particularly encourages research that engages with contemporary intellectual, cultural, ethical, historical, linguistic, religious, and philosophical issues through critical and scholarly perspectives.

Types of Manuscripts Considered

Thoughts Review welcomes the following types of scholarly contributions:

                                                              i.      Original Research Articles — Full-length articles presenting original empirical or theoretical research (typically 4,000–8,000 words, excluding references).

                                                            ii.      Review Articles — Comprehensive and critical reviews of the literature in a specific field (typically 5,000–10,000 words).

                                                          iii.      Theoretical Papers and Critical Studies — Conceptual or theoretical papers, commentaries, and short communications (typically 2,000–4,000 words).

All submissions must demonstrate clear research questions, sound methodology, engagement with relevant scholarly literature, and a substantive contribution to the field.

Editorial Standards and International Readability

To ensure the journal's content is relevant to and readable by an international audience, Thoughts Review requires that:

§  Article titles, abstracts, and keywords be provided in English.

§  Cited references, author names, and affiliations be presented in Roman script.

§  All published articles are subject to double-anonymous peer review by independent experts.

§  The journal maintains a publicly available Peer Review Policy, Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement, and other editorial policies aligned with COPE guidance.

 

Exclusions

The journal does not accept manuscripts that are outside its stated scope or that do not meet the required standards of originality, scholarly rigor, ethical research practice, and academic quality.

This Scope & Aims statement is designed to align with the editorial quality criteria of major indexing databases, including Web of Science and Scopus, which require a clear, precise, and internationally readable statement of a journal's objectives and scope.
