Indexing and Abstracting

Thoughts Review (TR) is committed to enhancing the international visibility, accessibility, and discoverability of its scholarly research. The journal adheres to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (COPE, DOAJ, OASPA, WAME) and continuously strives to meet the quality standards required by major international indexing and abstracting databases.

To ensure international readability and discoverability, the journal requires that article titles, abstracts, and keywords be provided in English, and that cited references, author names, and affiliations be presented in Roman script, in line with the expectations of Web of Science and Scopus.

Academic Recognition and Current Indexing

Thoughts Review is currently recognized by:

1.Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan — Y Category (Arts & Humanities – Miscellaneous), recognized for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2027.

2. DOI Registration through Crossref

Thoughts Review assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to its published articles through Crossref

Crossref is the official DOI registration agency for scholarly content. DOI registration provides a persistent and unique identifier for scholarly publications and supports accurate citation, persistent linking, and long-term online accessibility. In addition to formal indexing and abstracting services, Thoughts Review is listed in the following scholarly discovery and visibility platforms:

4. Commitment to International Indexing

Thoughts Review is committed to pursuing inclusion in additional recognized abstracting, indexing, and scholarly discovery services, with a particular focus on the following major international databases:

Ø  Scopus (Elsevier)

Ø  Web of Science (Clarivate), including the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) as an initial pathway toward the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), or Arts & Humanities Citation Index (AHCI), as appropriate to the journal's scope.

Ø  Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

To support these objectives, the journal maintains:

                                                              i.      A publicly available peer review policy and a clear description of its double-anonymous review process.

                                                            ii.      A publicly available publication ethics and malpractice statement, aligned with COPE guidance.

                                                          iii.      English-language titles, abstracts, and keywords for all published articles.

                                                          iv.      Roman-script references, author names, and affiliations to facilitate accurate indexing and international comprehension.

                                                            v.      A clearly stated publication schedule and transparent author fee information on the journal website.

                                                          vi.      Digital preservation arrangements, including participation in recognized preservation services for OJS journals.
